Binding a book

With a few sheets of paper and cardboard you can make this little booklet by yourself. You can write in it your thoughts but also what you see and speak about your discoveries.

What you need:

  • Some sheets of paper you want to bind together
  • needles
  • thread
  • ribbon
  • glue
  • cardboard

Making the booklet:

1. Group the sheets of paper by tens or 15 so as to make sections of your booklet.

2. With your 1cm large ribbon cut 3 lengths of about 20cm ( or 5 if the book is big : A4 format)

3. Sew the sections together. The sewing starts with a double first page, than the first section ... Go through the inside of the sections and above the ribbon, finish with the double first page.

4. Glue the back of the booklet to make it more resistant.

5. Cut the cover in cardboard.

6. Glue together the cover, the ribbons and the first page.

- With this technique you can make a booklet in which you can write your observations on nature.
Those of you who are older can make a very original and personal exploration book
