What you shouldn’t do

When you walk on an exploration it is strictly forbidden :

• to hitch-hike

• to cross a highway

• to cross a double railroad

• to use railway tunnels

• to cross rivers that are more than 2’ deep

You should always avoid roads with a lot of traffic. If there’s no other way then walk in a line on the left side of the road.

At night

When you walk at night :

• Always stay in a group on the left side of the road

• Use a lamp at the front and at the rear of the patrol

• If possible use reflective jackets

The look on scouts

Scouts can be spotted very easily and often awake people’s curiosity, therefore :

• Always wear a perfect uniform

• Always be polite and go unnoticed, especially when you are crossing a town.

• Respect plants and private properties

• Close gates behing you

• Do not spread all over the road and say that you will be "spotted more easily" that way

• Do not leave anything behind you except for kind regards and thanks
