The material
- A square plate of wood of 15x15"
- Some paint
- Wood varnish
The making of a tray
1. You can ask your dad or a shop assistant in a wood store to drill a hole at each corner of your wood plate big enough for a strig to go through ( that means about 1/4 to 1/3" in diameter ).
2. Paint a picture of your choice, think about your camp’s topic for example. (see below "How to enlarge a picture")
3. Once the paint is dry put a coat of varnish with a large paintbrush. This varnish will allow you to wash your tray without altering your picture.
How to enlarge a picture

- Draw a cross-ruling on the picture to enlarge ( for example use 1/2" squares)
- Draw another cross-ruling on the mount on which you want to draw the enlarged picture. (in our case it will be the wood plate, with 4" squares).
- Give a number to each square (just like with cross words).
- Draw back the lines of the picture one by one. Use the cross ruling to locate them on your new picture...
A table for camp
You can build a U-shape table for camp with four tripods. You can hang two rods with lashings on the table.
In between the two rods you can set your tray and attach it to the rods using the four holes in each corner.
